Taken seriously – A movie can teach you how to live a life!! PEACEFUL WARRIOR.

So let me wake up for once keeping aside my laziness to blog about one gr8 movie I watched on a boring Saturday. There are like a hundred quotes in this movie that you would want to write up on your wall to make them your life sutras !. But the success of the movie is the way they were delivered. Unlike the hidden-message movies , this was a pretty straight forward philosophy class from an oldie to a very self-identifiable youthful insomniac fiddling with the confusions and fears of failure. Still the movie is successful in delivering the right funda in the right way, capturing your attention to the level that you want to follow it, or in the terms of the movie is to teach you wisdom. It says that Knowing is knowledge while doing it is Wisdom. I should rather say that the subtle way in teaching the stuff with the apt quotes falling in the way did all the magic. Not too relevant to mention in this article but the hero was smart as well. That could also be one of the reasons that I got hooked up to the me movie without any digression or boredom J .. Just kidding but it was like reading a book of values/ personal development without feeling the unrest you would(actually I feel that .. not the case with everyone) while actually reading.

I might ruin your experience quoting those beautiful simpleton statements suggesting you to solve the simplest yet frequently undergone problems in life. It is worth a watch ! It is one good book bundled up into an easy rolling movie J

P.S: I resolve to blog more frequently from now on .. or I think I should not say more than before .. as I haven't been blogging any for more than 2yrs now. By the way .. this movie has inspired me to watch out on physical fitness as well J .. let me try to go walking tomorrow J

Pasanga - be a kid to watch the kids outdoing the adults

Pasanga as the word in tamil means children , offers you a touching yet tickling ride down to the native grounds of high school arrogance and innocence and screens the most applaudable sensibility a 6th class goers can teach you. Seeming illogical and impossible in every way ..how parents act childish and plunge themselves into cat fights while kids act mature to sooth and put the fire off.. the movie is still a wanna-live like a kid realization for the audience. The director has taught the wisest adults that the most complicated stuff in this world can be overcome by learning about ourselves as a kid.. the movie makes us learn that to satisfy the egotist adult , you can still apply the logic of a child wishing for appreciation and empathy.. as you have to know that you are still a kid inside..

The way it nurtures the kids to imagine or dream their wishes as realistically as possible so that they work towards making them real , and the way it emphasizes on the importance of appreciation to make someone achieve or fight with life is commendable. Tamil film productions should be appreciated for sticking to their nativity when the subject demands rather than to call for a patchy item song or some other commercial hype stuff that our telugu films would have done for the same story of this movie. Zero starcast, no renowned technicians, no heros and heroines but still the movie is a 100/100 for me as it is original J. I forgot there is one youth love pair in the movie but still even they are portrayed to mark their innocence.. especially when the guy asks the girl to eat a combined banana so that there can be a high probability for twins J .. a soothing melody song on their love in the movie is a must listen !

CHEENI KUM -- to have more meetha in ur life

the movie picturises a sensible attitude that need to be acquired by each human in order to keep himself more lively and happy ..... i remembered a lot of times my grand mom and grand dad's dialogues or more of cliches as every grand dad and grand mom says the same ... they keep saying just one clause for every precious or joyful moment they can enjoyy ... "maaku enduku nayana ee cinemalu ee tour lu ee vayasulo...... meerante chinna vallu meeru veltharu" (translated :: we are too old to go for movies or tours , u ppl can go on .. u r young folks)

this is what i remember them saying everytime i call them out for a restaurant or anywhere else...
i have found a lot of old people who define their age to possess a very austere living with out any fun or enjoyment ....
but here is the best movie showing the best attitude to be worn by anyone
the protogonist of the story "amitabh bachchan" who needs no mention of his excellency has not only kept up with the character's role but also given his own tinge to it ...

the striking nature of the character are like how he gets annoyed when his girl.. not really but whom he fantasises to be his girl has come down to his restaurant with an english guy ...this is something contrary to the current thinking of people of that age ... of course i dont say that movies cater to reality in 100% .. they dont... but atleast its pleasing to see on screen.. how the rarest 1% lead their life...

it was no little fun in the movie .. its not that rib tickling comedy flick but one of those sensible satirical humour that brings a happy broad smile on ur face and no more than that...

lauds to those two acters who just seem so good to be real characters ....

Finally there goes the undercurrent of the movie .. which says
age is not ur gray hair ... wrinkled face .. or losing eye sight ... but its ur mind...and how it thinks

P.S : i have seen this movie thrice .. just enjoying the lead roles and hoping i would remain as hopeful and as relishing as they are when i get to their age

APOCALYPTO-- for those who didnt know how a barabarian civilization would be ... this is the visual from MEL GIBSON

the movie, watching which i contemplated for a long while wether to go further and watch the most undigestable living pattern of a civilization in the jungle .......... most of the time i thought that i have watched enough of the massacre and wild living and lets stop it ....but only continued to watch inorder to know.. how in hell did it get a rating of 8/10 and also get nominated for 3 oscars....

i wondered through out the movie as of.. to which era was the movie being related to .... and to add to my confusion... in the climax sophisticated people from the city are found discovering this jungle and just arrive in their ships to this island.... so it must be the present era and that there is a jungle now where this civilization exists .....

but there are few elements in the movie that to be appreciated as well.......most predominantly the technincal work was mesmerising in capturing the best angles that give a reality to the action and stunts happening on the screen...
and other few elements inculcated into the story line at times do relate the movie to a present day man too ..... one of them was the fear that remained applicable to every single human ... or if corrected every single living being....
and the other was the conquering thirst of a man to make another man his captive ...... the movie also shows a transition in very smal scope from a early civilization where there was no materialistic waste for which man gave more importance to another area of the same where money and superstitions took over him.......

and a further transition of the same is what we are living in today

what this movie taught me was this story: (as it was in the movie)

a Man sat alone, drenched deep in sadness. And all the animals drew near to him and said, "We do not like to see you so sad. Ask us for whatever you wish and you shall have it." The Man said, "I want to have good sight." The vulture replied, "You shall have mine." The Man said, "I want to be strong." The jaguar said, "You shall be strong like me." Then the Man said, "I long to know the secrets of the earth." The serpent replied, "I will show them to you." And so it went with all the animals. And when the Man had all the gifts that they could give, he left. Then the owl said to the other animals, "Now the Man knows much, he'll be able to do many things. Suddenly I am afraid." The deer said, "The Man has all that he needs. Now his sadness will stop." But the owl replied, "No. I saw a hole in the Man, deep like a hunger he will never fill. It is what makes him sad and what makes him want. He will go on taking and taking, until one day the World will say, 'I am no more and I have nothing left to give.'"

P.S: this is something that took me more time than others did ...... but it didnt matter to me in any way since my calendar showed that i have no planned schedule today ...... also the fact is my calendar says the same everyday ... nothing to do

October Sky - the origin for movies about achievers

the october sky had been a pretty predictable stereotype of movies about acheivers .. but needs to be recognized by the fact that it is the first of its kind taken in 1966.. its about those who break the inheritant occupational clutches and struggle to follow their dreams and finally make the man feel proud about his son who had proved to be supreme above all those who took up the routine hereditary professional lanes..
holmer the protogonist of the movie being the son of a coal miner was always looked upon to take the same profession as his father, but who in contrary identifies his passion to fly high the awed thought of those days --- the rocket ....
another remarkable role played in the movie is Miss Riley the class teacher of Holmer who takes pleasure and self satisfaction in helping and motivating the boy realise his dreams....
all in all a good one but it got old due to a lot other movies depicting the same and already been watched by todays audience .... but it surely could be one of the best one in that time......

P.S: these days this is the first thing i am doing after coming to office .... write about the movie
and the first thing i do after going home is .....to watch a movie....kudos to all those movie makers who have given me some avagation in these no-work days

BHEJA FRY - good for health

the movie that had given me company on one of those sleepless nights.......dont think too far about my sleepless nights ....they are not beacause of any ailment or a crush but due to too much drowsing at office where i lie all day without any work and hence keep drowsing in a sculptured gesture which seems as if i have dug myself into laptop's screen that is showing me the worst code that was ever written or i have ever learnt but in reality ........putting behind the wonderland i am working in...

the movie was a worth-watch ...... all credit to the dierctor who has built a burstful laughterous humour but also sensible over a very small and a think-about-it baseline of not to call anyone an idiot ........

the two lead characters of the movie ,rajat kapoor and bharath bhooshan carry this baseline in the best way ever
amidst lot of humour we rarely give a thought to what the story is revolving around and why.....but the very moment the thought strikes us, the director then makes the teachings more lucid on to the screen ...... he brings out the essence of the humour and battling-around plot to the viewer who would have still enjoyed the movie without it but would love the movie for the learning that he could get from it......
all in all its wonderful rib tickling entertainer with a sensible undercurrent ...... "not to make fun of others emotions".......

P.S:- i once got a mail instructing what to do when u r feeling bored at office ........ but the problem now is that i am laready bored following those instructions and hence found an avagation for myself in this way ....... trying to expessing about the movies i watch ........might not have been so successful in this attempt but hope to get into form very soon .......after all its to write about mymoviezzz
